Slutwalk India Chapter in Delhi
Today the first Slutwalk of India took place in Delhi, it was called Besharmi Morcha. Those who don’t know about slut walk, it is, protest march that began on April 3, 2011 in Toronto, Canada. The main objective of these marches were to protest aginst explaining or excusing rape by referring to any aspect of a woman’s appearance.
In Delhi the march started at around 10:30 AM, with lot of police protection and huge number of protest participants. The basic mantra was – “What ever I wear, what ever I do – Don’t touch me! How dare you?”
